Tustin Street Fair and Chili Cookoff

This Sunday is Tustin Street Fair.  We will have an info booth in it.  Lets be praying and fasting for lives to be touched as a result of it.
Also we are still seeking a place for our Father’s Day Service in the park, lets be in prayer concerning this as well.

I have not said much about Memorial Day since we really didn’t do much. However, the highlight of my day was getting to baptize Arturo Lavenant on [...]

No Strings Attached

Over this weekend we took a step towards reaching out to the people of OC in a very relevant way.  Those of us who live in “church world” need to be reminded to get out of our Christian bubble and engage people outside the church walls.  One of the ways that we are doing this [...]

Quoted: Ronald Heifetz and Donald Laurie

“Followers want comfort. stability, and solutions from their leaders, but that’s babysitting.  Real leaders ask hard questions and knock people out of their comfort zones and then manage the resulting stress.”  ~ Ronald Heifetz and Donald Laurie, “The Work of Leadership,” Harvard Business Review, December 2001

James 4:2

James 4:2 MSG You lust for what you don’t have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn’t yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it.  You wouldn’t think of just asking God for it, would you?

Running From The Call

in the other direction.
God said: Cry
tears of compassion
tears of repentance; cry against
the reek
of unrighteousness; cry for
the right turn
the contrite spirit.
and Jonah rose
and fled
in tearless silence.
– Thomas Carlyle

The Delegating Pastor

I am a firm believer that one of the keys to Apostolic revival is delegation!
There is a season in the early part of our ministry where we have to do more than just what is our calling.  But growing, revival churches require delegating pastors.  In Acts 6:3-4, the apostles saw the need to appoint seven [...]

Father’s Day Is Coming

I know Father’s day is still about 4 weeks away, (June 17) but I ran across this presentation that Philana put together last year and thought I would show it.

Stretched

I made a statement, yesterday, that I have found myself reflecting on today
“Spiritual maturity and growth always stretches us out of our comfort zone.”
Could it be that comfort zones are a mark of spiritual immaturity?
