This Has Been A Week Of Fasting And Miracles…

Sunday night, I asked for a commitment from those who would be willing to take 5 days of fasting this week.  Not fasting from food, but negative speech…based on Prov. 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  I knew in [...]

After having a simple outpatient surgical procedure done on Monday, I ended up getting sick Tuesday. The Dr. sent me to get some blood work done which revealed that my white blood [...]

UPDATE

Well, as I mentioned yesterday I came out of the surgery fine.  However about 3 AM the rest of the anesthesia wore off and I have been in pain and sick on my stomach.  Not whining,:-)  but would appreciate your prayers as I have a lot of work that needs to be finished this week.

Home

Well, those of you that keep up with this blog know that I had an outpatient surgical procedure done this afternoon.  Thanks for those who were praying.  It went well.  I plan on being at prayer meeting tonight if I can convince my wife to drive me.  When you’ve been under anesthesia, they tell you [...]

Loving Inertia

“The reason men oppose progress is not that they hate progress, but that they love inertia.”  ~ Elbert Hubbard

Relevant, But Apostolic

“Life is not a static thing. The only people who do not change their minds are incompetents in asylums, who can’t are those in cemeteries.”  ~ Everett Dirksen

“If you are wedded to todays trends, you’ll be widowed by the weekend.”  ~ E. Stanley Jones
There are things that are forever settled in time and eternity [...]

Props to PoOC Leadership Team

Last Saturday night we had a great planning session for 2008.  I was thinking tonight about something I read awhile back, “A great leader surrounds himself with great advisors.”  I’m thankful for a great leadership team here at Pentecostals of OC.
