Why Should Anybody Blog?
A question that I get asked from time to time is “Why do you blog?” Well, there are multiple reasons not the least of which is idea stewardship, but I ran across this post and thought I would share it here. I think that as you peruse this list you will have a better understanding of why I have encouraged all of the various Dept. leaders at Pentecostals of OC to blog.
Why should your pastor blog:
- to make your pastor more accessible
- to give your pastor a voice beyond the church walls
- to give your pastor a platform to address specific issues affecting the church
- to allow people to offer input and feedback to your pastor’s thoughts
- to reach people worldwide with the message of Christ
- to give your pastor an outlet
- to allow your pastor to express what he is passionate about
- to allow your pastor a way to address issues that need to be given attention but may not be appropriate coming from the pulpit
- to give people an idea of an idea of what the pastor is about if they are considering visiting the church
- to further define the purpose of your church
- to give your pastor and church a more personal appearance
- to share positive things that your church has done lately
- to have a positive impact on your community
- to introduce the key players in your church, both staff and volunteers
- to give your pastor a voice
- to increase your public image
- to share the personality of what your pastor and church are about
Why should your business blog:
- to make your business more accessible
- to give your business a voice
- to give your business a platform to address specific issues affecting the business
- to allow people to offer input and feedback to your business
- to reach people worldwide with your business’ message
- to give your business an outlet
- to allow your business to express what he is passionate about
- to allow your business a way to address issues that need to be given attention
- to give people an idea of an idea of what the business is about if they are considering sending some business your way
- to further define the purpose of your business
- to give your business a more personal appearance
- to share positive things that your business has done lately
- to have a positive impact on your community
- to introduce the key players in your business
- to give your business a voice
- to increase your public image
- to share the personality of what your business is about
- to give your business the upper hand on the competition
- to show that your business is the leader in it’s industry
- to add value to your industry
Why should you blog:
Consider any of the choices in the first list
Consider any of the choices in the second list
